Manhattanville My Soldier Program 
Connects Deployed Soldiers and Veterans

A new initiative by the Manhattanville My Soldier program, My Hero hopes to make the daily lives of soldiers deployed overseas and Veterans brighter. The program was designed in response to the many letters and emails received from soldiers saying that the hardest part of being deployed in far away lands is leaving behind a beloved family.
We have received many requests from Veterans to adopt soldiers in the same branch of service that they were in during their years of service. The connection that is made has proven to be worthwhile. We have received thank you letters from deployed soldiers telling us how much more meaningful it was corresponding with a Veteran. The soldiers found that they had so many things in common and many shared experiences. 

Manhattanville My Soldier has collected names and addresses of soldiers currently deployed that wish to receive letters of support and care packages. The My Soldier Program is currently asking Veterans from all over the country to participate in this program. It is free and easy; just call the My Soldier Office at 914-323-5172 or email at mysoldier@mville.edu and you will receive the name and address of a deployed soldier. Please be specific in which branch of service and unit.
